Tool Design and Construction
|
Precise Engineering’s design team works closely with customers, tooling, and production personnel to ensure that every step of the production and post processing of the product are taken into account. Our extensive experience in various tooling disciplines allows PEI to devise innovative, cost effective solutions to some of the most complex manufacturing challenges.
Whether single station, complex progressive tool, or custom designed manufacturing system, we select the right tooling style for your quality, volume, and budget requirements. As a critical part of our services, PEI’s design process follows strict guidelines undergoing several documented reviews and approvals prior to being released to build.
|
All of our tool designs must meet these minimal criteria:
|
- Flexible - to easily adapt to changes in product requirements with minimal cost of rebuild.
- Maintenance oriented - to minimize down time and provide optimal productivity.
- Cost Effective - to minimize program start up costs.
| |
As an added service, our
designers will at a customer’s request, assist in evaluating the
manufacturability of a product while still in the design phase to minimize
project lead time.
|
PEI has assembled some of the most creative and open minded toolmakers in the industry with each having a minimum of 20 years experience in the field.
Our fully equipped and well appointed toolroom allows us to manufacture even the most intricate components while keeping 95% of every tool build in house. This gives PEI optimal control over all critical sections to minimize grooming time.
